  • from sanjay: shell programming, being comfortable with editing given shell scripts (given a build script, how to modify it slightly), build systems, ci-cd
  • from orban: vi, scp, "devops", ssh port-forwarding, perl, wget, git-clone, bash scripting. example project: write a bash script, run w/ cron job, get weather w/ curl. also parsing w/ python, awk, sed.
  • from moen: emacs > vim, uses grep alot, bash pipes
  • from dovolis: basic unix, using an editor, but this is already covered in the first lab for 1933
